I'm a software engineer based in Burlington, VT. I have over 10 years of industry experience with a focus on Digital Commerce, Advertising, and Monetization. Most recently I was a Senior Software Engineer at Gain Compliance, where I built software that helps insurance companies prepare their statutory financial reporting documents for state and federal regulations. In my previous role at Vox Media, I was responsible for ad formats, ad delivery, ad placements, and third-party integrations to drive revenue. Prior to that, I developed a seamless online shopping experience for the Burton Snowboards global e-commerce platform.

My career journey has included diverse contract work too. I have helped build government apps (property inspection and environmental remediation), health care portals, a solar panel monitoring system, and an ethical concert ticket marketplace. I have also built websites and managed Google Ads campaigns for small local businesses who are getting online for the first time. This breadth of experience has equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of the unique needs of businesses of all sizes, allowing me to recommend and implement the right solutions at the right time.

In addition to my professional work, I recently launched Landscaper's Logbook, a micro-SaaS tool built for landscaping businesses to map job sites, track and assign work. It's my first independently released subscription product.

I hold a Bs in Computer Science, a Bs in Web Development, and an 18-credit certificate in C++ Programing from Champlain College. I am comfortable working with JavaScript, C++, Python, or Ruby across the tech stack, regardless of framework or library. I think having a strong core in computer science, natural curiosity, joy of autodidacticism, and resiliency are more important than whatever tech is trendy.
